I’m always getting my feet tangled up in all the cords! You know it’s funny though....as long as I keep my feet where they belong, I don’t get them tangled in the cords...it’s only when i don’t watch where I’m putting my feet that I get all tangled up......I know the cords are there and I think I’m avoiding them and then all of a sudden one of the cords will be wrapped around my foot! You know, in our Christian walk, sin can sorta be like those cords.

I read these Bible verses last week and they certainly are true of me!! “Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith.” (Hebrews 12:1-2)

It’s when we take our eyes off Jesus that we allow sin to get us all tangled up! So this week, let’s keep our feet on the right path and fix our eyes on Jesus and throw off that sin that so easily entangles!

LET US PRAY.

Dear Lord, help us to fix our eyes on Jesus so we can stay on the right path and serve you this week. AMEN
