Hello, Dear Church!

Vacation Bible School is in full swing, and the church is buzzing with the energy of children and leaders alike. A big thank you to all volunteers who prepared for and participated in Vacation Bible School. The spiritual nourishment of our children and youth is incredibly important, and you all worked so hard to make the occasion very special. If you see Maxine or any other volunteers, please thank them for all of their planning and preparation. I hope to see many of you on Friday as we close out the week with a hotdog lunch.

I would also like to remind you of the ordination service scheduled for Sunday at 4 p.m. with a reception to follow. Now I can share the big news that the Freddie Braswell will preach and the Wanda Braswell will lead our congregational hymns. Please come and support me but also to see some old friends.

Behind the scenes, we are working very hard on updating our church website, organizing the church directory, and preparing additional media for sites like Facebook and YouTube. One way you can help is by sending any video footage you have of past church events. If you have additional recommendations for the church, please do not hesitate to share them. If you are looking for opportunities to get involved by putting to good use your talents and experiences, reach out to me or Dorla to find ways to plug in.
