Hello, Dear Church!

I write this letter from Cloud 9 as I am still celebrating Elias August Emory Velez who is expected February 28th, 2027. The anatomy scan last week revealed that he is healthy and developing beautifully, and I couldn’t be more thankful for God’s blessing of new life. Thank you all for being a part of this journey with me and my growing family.

If you missed the Wednesday Wave Bible Study concerning the afterlife, I hope to see you tonight at the monthly Wednesday Night Fellowship meal for some good ol’ barbecue. We also have our second Anchor and Sail meeting tomorrow (Thursday, 10/15) at 3:00 p.m. in the fellowship hall. The first meeting was incredibly powerful, and I can tell that the study materials and the relationships forming between participants have the potential to foster much spiritual growth. It is not too late to join the program if you are interested in walking through grief together. To wrap up the week, we have the Men’s Prayer Breakfast this Saturday at 8:30 a.m.

Let us continue to keep in mind all of the families who have experienced loss this past summer. We have had our fair share of funerals lately, but we know that we do not encounter loss alone. Continue to reach out and check on those families; remind them that they are deeply loved by our church. And to those of you grieving, I love you, and I am with you.

I am thankful for each one of you and the relationships that continue to deepen.

With love,

Pastor Zach
