Hello, Dear Church!

I hope you all are enjoying the chill that is in the air; I know that I am.

Check out the information below concerning this year’s Operation Christmas Child Initiative. Our packing day is scheduled for November 15th, and we are also asking that you consider donating $15 toward buying a pair of Be.cause shoes for the older boys’ large gift this year. We continue to mourn the loss of Darryl Thompson this week, and our prayers extend to the entire family. The celebration of life service is scheduled for noon this Saturday with a reception to follow. It seems to have been a difficult summer with much illness and loss in our congregation, but I encourage you to remember that these things do not have the final word. We have hope in a resurrection where all mourning, illness, pain, and even death are defeated.

Our Wednesday Wave Bible Study focus this month is the Afterlife, so if you are interested in joining us at 11 a.m., come on out! We dive deep into the biblical text and have great discussion with a variety of backgrounds and perspectives.

As always, I am here for you if you need me for any reason. Do not hesitate to reach out! In the meantime, I will keep you updated on the gender of Baby #2 which will be discovered this coming Friday!
