Pastoral Letter #17
Hello, Dear Church!
I hope you have had a good week so far! I have been reflecting on our participation in the communion table last Sunday. It was a sacred moment for me, and I am honored to be able to lead you in that sacrament. Next Sunday, we will observe another sacrament–the baptisms of Garrett Sheppard and Riley Kearney. I hope you will join us for this special occasion.
A couple of events to keep in mind. The senior breakfast will be Saturday, September 26th, and is potluck style. Our new Anchor and Sail grief support group will meet this Thursday at 12:00 p.m. for a lunch and interest meeting. Please invite anyone who you think will be interested in these fellowship opportunities!
We have also added a new section to the newsletter: “Meet a Member.” This week is Jackie Surles. If you are interested in being interviewed and featured, please let me know. I will also be reaching out to you individually over the coming weeks as well. I hope to eventually feature everyone who is willing. It is an opportunity for us to get to know individuals we might not otherwise meet and share all the good things about our experiences at Emerald Isle Baptist!
